Memory Grove

  1. On the southside of Belfast Lough, there is a similar type of structure. It is a look-out post that was built during the second world war- it's purpose was to watch for German subs entering the lough. The winding steps are there leading to a the 'look-out'. The building itself is a little different (more round) but this is the first thing I thought about when I viewed this photo.
